A Guide To Measuring Corsets

When ordering a corset be aware that corsets are designed to give a waist reduction of 2-4 inches, and work hard to do so. To find out your corset size, measure your natural waist size and deduct 3 or 4 inches from this number to get your corset size, depending on whether the measurement is an even number or not.

For example, if your natural waist measurement is 30 inch, then you should select a 26 inch corset, or if your natural waist measurement is 27 inches then you should select a 24 inch corset. It is a good idea to measure yourself at the hips, waist and bustline to give you an idea of what your shape is. Not all corsets fit everybody. Another handy measurement is your underarm to your hips. This will tell you what length of corset you would be comfortable with.
